Andrew Staron is an assistant professor of theology at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia. He enjoys reading and writing about God, Augustine, Jean-Luc Marion, and the phenomenology of the gift of love. He is also interested in sainthood, the theological virtues, hermeneutics, and 20th century Catholic authors. However, his clearest experience of God and the gift of love is rooted in the witness of his wife, Andrea, and the love of their three children. He often struggles with the sin of pride, and any headway he’s made on this front is a direct result of the humility he’s learned being a life-long Cleveland sports fan (which, since the Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA championship, has become a sign of hope for the lowly). He is the author of The Gift of Love: Augustine, Jean-Luc Marion, and the Trinity (Fortress Press, 2017).
