This weekend our blog will begin featuring regular reflections on the Church’s lectionary cycle. In posting these reflections, our aim is to help break open the scriptures and interpret them in light of each one of our own contexts. Hopefully, these posts will help our readers (as well as our authors) to think more deeply about the Sunday readings before attending mass and to open our hearts more fully to the proclamation of the Word.
As with all that we post here, we hope these reflections will be fruitful for our readers and for the wider church. Moreover, since the cycle of readings is an important part of the liturgical life of the church, these posts should help this blog to more deeply pursue it’s goal of Faith Seeking Understanding in Everyday Life.
